Manchester Street Directories Thanks to all who have transcribed these entries Always check the original source An excel work book containing the following information is downloadable by clicking here. The data is presented in it's original format (order) but can easily be sorted to give an alphabetical list of surnames. The data comes originally from the works of Monty Dobkin. Monty in turn got the data from street directories, although he does not cite which ones. The data was typed up by various members of the B-J list at the end of 2001. If you cannot access excel please contact the webmaster. Data included in the workbook: Bury New Road 1927; Cheetham Hill Road 1934; York Street 1855 and York Street 1884. If you have other street directory information to share, please contact the webmaster. The format of these remains the property of British-Jewry Admin. You can use them for private research but cannot sell this data on. |
