LIPMAN: An excel sheet showing the LIPMAN surname in censuses from 1851-1901 inclusive submitted by Trudy Messingham

COHEN databases:

A list of COHEN surnames which appear in the PRO (National Archive) Index of Naturalisations, submitted by Angie Elfassi. The transcribing has been checked by Jackye Sullins.

COHEN Naturalisations Detail- "I was at the PRO looking for a Dagul family Naturalisation and was given a whole book rather than a single file covering late 1903 to early 1904. I couldn't resist writing out all the Cohen's in it especially as it had the kids and other info - I don't own the information as such but I did write it down from the book, I guess that's ok. I wish now I had, had the time to write out all the entries".

COHEN Naturalisation - "I wrote these naturalisations out during the same visit to PRO (now National Archives) someone on the list had mentioned they were trying to complete their list of Cohen's and had got up to 'J' I copied out J to P."

Rothschild Buildings - several of my ancestors and their family lived there and I found I was going through the 1891 census so many times looking at the residents every time I found a 'new' family member that in the end I wrote them all out.

London County Directory- comprises a list of persons she has extracted with the surname COHEN listed in London County Directory - Directory of Professions & Trades 1811.

COHEN (sic) entries recorded in the Register of Certificates of Arrivals (HO5 series 25 & 26) at The National Archives. Click here to download the Word document containing the list.

JACOBY (sic) database: This file contains  BMD (Birth, Marriages & Deaths) for Jacoby - all spellings.  The starting point was names (600+) from FreeBMD to which various notes have been added.  Depending on the family, I may or may not have additional information.  Prior to the 1890s, families seemed to have used the various spellings interchangeably. I make no promises as to the accuracy of the information in the database.  FreeBMD is fairly accurate but I had to re key Event, Quarter and Year so it is probably subject to some mistakes.  Also, I have additional information on some of the people listed which I am more than happy to share.

SEELIG: This is a new submission containing references from the National Archives and 2 full transcriptions of naturalisation papers  and a Metropolitan Police (Criminal Investigation Department) report for the surname SEELIG.

New databases are being brought to you as soon as we are able, please keep checking back.
